Dr. Carla Chavez-Mayorga

Dr. Carla Chavez-Mayorga received her Doctor in Dental Surgery - DDS degree at Universidad Americana UAM in Managua, Nicaragua.

She moved to the United States in 2011 where she completed one year postgraduate General Practice Residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH, and a second year as a Chief Resident at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. Both level 1 trauma hospitals where she received extensive training in all dental specialties, including special needs patients and head and neck patients

In September 2020, she opened her practice, Azul Family Dentistry in Afton, Virginia and then relocated the practice to Waynesboro, Virginia in December 2023.

Dr. Chavez-Mayorga finished her specialty implant training in November 2023 and currently, she is pursuing an associate fellowship in implant dentistry to continue adding to the available services at Azul Family Dentistry.

At Azul Family Dentistry, we are up to date with the latest technology and new techniques as well as a very knowledgeable and caring team that would help you regain confidence in your smile.
